open comic source

Wed Mar 4, 2009, 1:35 PM
Together with a friend I'm about to build a webcomic portal called open comic source. Yesterday I made an info page for this project:

So here's the [link]

And here is some more information:

open comic source (ocs) is a project that want's to create a webcomic portal.

But it's not about providing a list of webcomics and a forum. In fact we want to offer free hosting of comics.

The intresting thing about it is that the raw files of the comicstrips as the PSD, XCF, SVG, AI, ... files with all layers will be provided. Furthermore will all content be licenced under a choseable Creative Commons licence. By that every author can choose by himself which rights he wants to grant.

In addition we plan customisable themes, PDF and archive download of complete comic books, news about the webcomic szene, a rating system, comments, rss feeds to stay up to date, ...

When all this will be complete is still written in the stars. This is a hobby project and we are in the very early stages though all is written from scratch. We need to gather time to work on this. However this project is very important to us and therefore we try to spend as much time on it as possible.

  • Watching: The Devil's Advocate
  • Playing: Okami (Wii)
  • Eating: chocolate

Thank you so much for the :+fav:
Thanks! By the way, I totally agree with your "4.", but what do you use Nintendo Wii for?
You're welcome.
Well, first I bought the Wii months after posting this journal. And on the other hand the Wii isn't a normal gaming machine. ;)
The games (the few that are actually worth buying ;)) are fun to play and that's what I love about older games. so the Wii is my link between past and present. :D

And if everything failes I could still fall back on the virtual console. ^^

Enjoy your life. You only have one.
Haha, my sister bought the Wii too, but I never play with it. I do like it though.
Everytime I see the Wii I think: "I'm living in the future!". "Scary!"
I believe I'm a little old-fashioned. Even my parents think so. Technology is going too fast for me, but on the other hand I can't live without it.
I'm glad you like my haters. =)
Thanks for the new faves!
